Members, vouching for members.
DC Member Directory is a simple idea: Discovery Church members helping Discovery Church members. Members who run a business list it here, and other members vouch for the ones they trust — in their own names.
Every business in the directory is owned by a community member and carries at least one vouch from a fellow member. You'll never see anonymous reviews or pay-to-rank listings — just members standing behind members.
How it works
Anyone can browse the directory and read the community forum. Members — Discovery Church members invited by an existing member — can list their own business, vouch for fellow members' businesses, and post in the community. A listed business becomes public once another member vouches for it. Membership spreads by personal invitation, which is what keeps the whole thing trustworthy.
The founders

Jacob Malherbe
Co-founder · Discovery Church community member
I run a business myself, but it's a national company — not the kind of local, neighborhood work this directory is built for. So why build it? Honestly, for my own family. When we need something local — a plumber, a contractor, someone we're trusting inside our home — I'd rather hire a brother or sister from our church than a stranger off the internet. When Andy brought me the idea it clicked right away — so I built DC Member Directory so our whole community could do the same: find the good, honest, local businesses run by the very people we already worship alongside. I'm a member of the Discovery Church community, not an attorney — just the person keeping the lights on here. If you have a question, a business to add, or an idea to make this better, I'd love to hear from you.

This whole community was Andy's idea. He runs Orlando Quality Painting, a local painting company right here in Central Florida, and helps lead The Call, a ministry that supports our first responders. He's exactly the kind of honest, hard-working neighbor this directory was built to help you find — and living proof of the community it's meant to serve.
